Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Associate Professor Athens Dental School

Nadia Theologie-Lygidakis graduated from the Dental School of the University of Athens and completed three years of training in Oral Surgery at the ‘John Radcliffe’ University Hospital in Oxford. She obtained the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty in Greece in 1995, following further general surgical training at the ‘Tzaneio’ Hospital and maxillofacial surgical training at the University OMFS Dept at ‘Evaggelismos’ Hospital. Her academic qualifications include an MSc from the Medical School of Oxford in 1985, an MSc in Oral Pathology in 1998 and a PhD from the Athens Dental School in 2004.

She is currently an Associate Professor of the OMFS department at the Athens Dental School. She has been a staff member of the OMFS department at the University Children’s Hospital ‘‘P. & A. Kyriakou’’ for the last 20 years, acting as director during the period 2017-2022. Additionally, she practices privately at the Lygidakis Dental Clinic.

She has published over 90 papers in National and International scientific journals with more than 900 citations as well as presented a large number of lectures and oral presentations at National and International conferences. She is a regular attendee of the Greek and European Associations of OMFS conferences since 1985. Additionally, she has actively taken part in the organization of the Greek Association of OMFS as well as the official journal of the association, for which she was Editor in Chief from 2012 to 2016. Finally, Dr. Theologie-Lygidakis is a reviewer for the Journal of Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery as well as the European Archives of Paediatric Dentistry.
