The aim of the paediatric dentist is to provide high quality dental treatment for children, young adolescents and young patients with special needs, while maintaining control of dental fear through the use of non pharmacological behavior management techniques.

• Preventive dentistry which includes scale and polish, fluoride application, as well as diet counselling
• Habit breaking advice
• Fissure sealants
• Restorations of teeth (including root canal treatments for primary and immature permanent teeth)
• Management of dental trauma in the primary and permanent dentition
• Management of dental anomalies
• Interceptive orthodontics
• Management of complicated rare dental and skeletal conditions that require multidisciplinary approach
• General anaesthesia for children of preschool age, children with medical conditions and children where the dental requirements are such that treatment in the dental practice is not possible
